We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Event Transportation and Installation Specialists to join our team. The Crew Chief will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of events, transportation, and installations. Your responsibilities will encompass driving company vehicles, taking direction from clients onsite, and leading a team for setting up and breaking down event decor/furniture. Crew members will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of events, transportation, and installations. Your responsibilities will encompass taking direction onsite, and setting up and breaking down event décor. We are seeking dedicated, reliable & careful furniture movers to join our team. This position will regularly work weekends and late nights, usually in 4 hour shifts.

Leading Event Installation:

• Take direction from clients with a friendly, upbeat attitude.
• Load and unload event furniture and decor onto vehicles and trucks for delivery to clients, venues, and return products to the warehouse.
• Be the leader of the crew, give clear direction to other team members.
• Skillfully pack, wrap, and unpack furniture and event decor.
• Return furniture and decor to their designated storage locations.
• Handle items with care to minimize damage and breakage.
• Ensure event setups are left clean and undamaged by removing debris.

Transportation:

• Safely operate company vehicles (including a 20-foot box truck) to and from event, client, vendor, and venue locations, adhering to schedules and time constraints.
• Transport staff, and complete pick-ups and deliveries promptly.
• Load and unload vehicles as required, securing cargo in accordance with safety guidelines to prevent damage and injury.
• Strictly follow all regulations from the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), and state guidelines.
• Uphold the safety and security of the vehicle and passengers, including proper parking, vehicle security, and preventing unauthorized use.
• Maintain accurate driving logs, perform vehicle inspections, and report maintenance needs to management.
• Keep the vehicle interior clean and organized according to department standards.

Warehouse Support:

• Availability to support in warehouse operations/organization.
• Ensuring & keeping up with inventory quality standards by reporting and supporting the cleanliness and maintenance of the furniture.
• Assisting with various organizational tasks and adhering to processes related to organization.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
• Preferred 2-4 years of driving experience.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Valid Illinois Driver's License is mandatory.
• Class C license is advantageous or willingness to get Class C license.
• Proof of a clean driving record is essential.
• Strong understanding of safe vehicle usage and Illinois road rules is required.
• Ability to interpret pull sheets & decipher inventory.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs
• Familiarity with proper packing methods is beneficial.
• Skill in handling glass and fragile items safely.
• Effective verbal communication skills for coordination with the logistics team.
• Capacity to multitask and manage competing demands.
• Willingness to take direction and provide excellent customer service.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment, including hammers, screwdrivers, hand drills, tape measures, dollies, lifts, and ladders.
• Flexibility to work extended shifts and accommodate evening and weekend schedules.
• Up to 1 year of event setup experience is preferred.
• Must comply with dress code
