VP of Accounting and Finance Requirements:
15-20 years of accounting experience, with at least 8 years in leadership roles within a publicly traded company
Minimum of 2 years'experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically with gross to net revenue accounting
Demonstrated experience leading an accounting department with strong SEC, US GAAP reporting, and technical acumen
Proven track record as a Controller or similar capacity, ready to step up to a VP level
Excellent skills in Excel (index match, pivot tables, VLOOKUP;macros not required)
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA certification is preferred
Experience with Oracle or other major ERP systems
Previous experience in smaller, revenue-driven pharma companies is preferred
Strong leadership skills, capable of being both a strategic leader and a hands-on contributor is preferred
VP of Accounting and Finance Responsibilities:
Manage all finance and accounting operations, including internal controls, financial reporting, and accounting policies
Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial activities, with financial statements prepared in compliance with US GAAP
Act as the main liaison with internal and external auditors for audits, reviews, and tax return preparations
Drive the budget and quarterly reforecast process, performing analytical reviews to assist the company in achieving budget objectives
Oversee technical accounting projects, including the preparation of whitepapers and updating accounting policies
Implement and maintain robust internal controls as required by Sarbanes-Oxley to enhance financial integrity
Report directly to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information and lead in the preparation of Audit Committee meetings
Lead the accounting team to deliver superior service and align departmental priorities with corporate objectives
Manage sophisticated ERP systems, and continuously improve financial systems and processes to support business growth
Build strong internal and external relationships to understand business needs and create distinctive value
