1.0 FTE - Limited Term Contract (2/1/22 - 5/27/22)

Please note: All 39 contracts under .5 FTE or between .50 - 1.0 and below 90 days are placed at BA, Lane A salary.
Eligible for benefits if >60 days.

Summary:
This person is responsible for a caseload of students needing assistance with academic Interventions and reengagement. They will support student access through executive functioning supports, which includes planning and prioritizing, goal setting and goal persistence, task initiation and task completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manages the learning environment of the Academic Intervention Center.
  • Value diversity and equity and creates an atmosphere that is culturally responsive.
  • Identify and differentiate for the unique learning needs of each individual student.
  • Case manage general education students, who are in the MTSS process, which includes developing, implementing, and monitoring student plans.
  • Works collaboratively with colleagues, families and community partners to support student achievement.
  • Exhibits a growth mindset through participation in professional learning.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders to inform student progress towards goals.
  • Monitors data to inform and revise student plans.
  • Follows all CHS and BVSD policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Currently hold a Colorado teaching license in Secondary Education, or have licensure application in process with appropriate endorsement (must upload license or in process documentation to application).
  • Completed and submitted BVSD on-line application.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • ESL Certification
  • Technological proficiency with Google Suite, Infinite Campus and Frontline.

Salary Information:

  • Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.

  • Regular teachers requesting transfers to less than their current assignment would assume the contracted FTE of the accepted position.
