Boulder County is Hiring a Resource Specialist - Agricultural Property Lease and Tenant Relations Coordinator Near Boulder, CO
Boulder County Parks and Open Space (POS) Department is seeking a Resource Specialist - Lease and Cropshare Coordinator.This role will work with multiple internal teams to coordinate the agricultural leasing process and track cropshare income and expenses. This role will also market cropshare commodities and will work with agricultural tenants to resolve leasing issues. This is a full-time, benefited position. This position will work Monday through Friday 8 – 4:30 or Monday through Thursday 8 – 5:30, with flexibility. This position will work out of Parks & Open Space located at 5201 St Vrain Road Longmont, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt. New employees receive an 80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month.
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Identify gaps in current processes and develop efficient solutions
Collaborate with Parks & Open Space administrative staff and county Purchasing staff to write Requests for Proposals for available agricultural properties
Lead bid evaluation team in assessing proposals for agricultural properties in accordance with published bid criteria
Collect and track rent payments
Evaluate bids, write contracts, and oversee execution of contracts related to agricultural leases
Communicate with tenants both in writing and verbally about late rent and lease breaches
Communicate with county agricultural tenants by phone and email regarding day-to-day needs
Prepare annual reports summarizing lease-related expenses and revenue
Lead meetings with cross-functional staff teams
Develop and implement SOPs related to rent collection and tenant communication
Co-develop presentations to other county staff, the Parks & Open Space Advisory Board, and the Board of County Commissioners and serve as a resource to other decision-making audiences in the county as needed
Performs related work, as required
May be reassigned during emergency situations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of 6 years of combined education and experience in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Business, Paralegal, Agricultural property leasing, contract management, or closely related field.
