Boulder Country Club is Hiring a Camp Counselor Near Boulder, CO

The Beautiful Boulder Country Club is seeking 6 summer camp counselors. Camp training starts on May and training is one week long and paid. During this training we will also have you certified in CPR, some basic first aid and you will have an Epi Pen tutorial with our resident nurse. Camp is from 8:15 am -3:45pm, Monday –Friday. We do have before and after care so there are ways to get more hours if you can work before and/or after care. Camp ends on August. Compensation is $15.69-$16.50, depending on experience we may be able to go to $17 if you have the desired qualifications. It is the perfect summer job for a college student/someone who has experience working with kids. Our camp is on the country club campus and loads of fun! We have experienced returning counselors that will head up the team of counselors. Having experience working with kids in sports, games, art, swimming, and engaging in fun is a huge plus! We do art, games and sports, we swim, we go on field trips and each counselor contributes to the program by being counselor of the week and coming up with their own games for the kids. All Camp Counselors are required to be in the pool during pool swim/play time. Swimming daily is a requirement. We are a tight knit staff, we get along very well with one another as well as with the kiddos and parents. Counselors get free lunches every day and free golf for employees on Mondays after 2:30pm! Duties and Responsibilities
  • Guide and teach a range of sports and activities.
  • Ensure camper safety and monitor their activities.
  • Set up takedown of camp equipment.
  • Supervise campers during meals and breaks.
  • Instruct campers in daily routines and cleanup tasks.
  • Follow safety and emergency procedures and guidelines.

Hours per week:
  • 30-40
Employment Length:
  • 13 weeks
  • Must be available to work all 13 weeks of the summer. Time off for a long weekend is normally approved.
As long as we have enough staff.
Typical schedule:
  • Monday- Friday 8:15 am to 4 pm
  • We do send counselors home on rotation if our participation of campers is low.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to swim well. Swimming is part of the daily role.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, carry, reach, use hands and arms, and project voice to engage with a large group of children.
  • Able to tolerate hot outdoor conditions and sun exposure for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/move up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a busy, noisy, and outdoor environment.
  • Must be able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment, which is typical of this position.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distant vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Exposed to hot and cold weather conditions
