The Assistant CFO has the main responsibility of preparing of the monthly financial statements and various financial account reconciliations, the maintenance of and performing various analysiss within the Meditech, Medisolv, and other systems, preparing the financial analysis performed on our various clinics, assists in the preparation of the annual operating budgets, and the preparation of various supporting work papers to be used by our external auditors and preparers of the annual cost reports.
The Assistant CFO reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsibilities:1. Provides direct supervision and guidance to Accounting and Budget & Reimbursement employees. Including evaluations, schedules, and Kronos activities.
2. Prepares consolidated financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss Statements, Subsidiary Statements.
3. Reviews and analyzes general ledger account balances, verifies accuracy and makes recommendations for corrections.
4. Prepares or reviews monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
5. Assists preparation of the operating budget and capital budgets. Coordinates the annual audit and cost report.
6. Fills in for the Chief Financial Officer at the Finance Committee and Board Meetings when the CFO is unable to attend.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:1. Education:
a.) Graduate from a recognized College or University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a major in Accounting.
2. Licensure/Certification:
a.) CPA or Masters degree preferred.
3. Work Experience:
a.) At least three years of experience in a healthcare facility with a working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Blue Cross reimbursements.
b.) Strong electronic spreadsheet and computer skills required.
c.) Minimum of three years of experience in Healthcare Budget Preparation.
