We are looking for a Scientist II, Molecular Biology in Austin, TX for a 6 months contract position.

Job Description:

Position: Scientist II, Molecular Biology

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: 6 months contract position

Client: Direct Client

8AM-5PM Monday-Friday

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biology, Biotech or related fields.

· 1-2 years experience working in a chemistry, biology, or equivalent lab preferred

· Experience in a lab setting in life sciences and an understanding of molecular biology and associated techniques

· Highly skilled at using Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)

· Knowledge of NGS technology and prior experience preferred.

· Strong practical knowledge and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices and safety protocols

· Understanding of BSL-2 lab safety rules, being able to handle hazardous materials and samples of human plasma

· Exceptional organizational skills

· Ability to prioritize assignments and to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive manner

· Possess good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

· Must be able to work in walk-in freezers or refrigerators periodically

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
