Boswell Oil Company is Hiring a Customer Service Specialist Near Waycross, GA

SUMMARY:
Coordinate the daily operations of assigned location’s customer service and administrative functions. Assist walk-in customers and support completion of administrative and support services daily tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Greet walk-in customers while for answering telephone calls and emails from customers and clients and directing them to relevant staff.
  • Monitor office supply inventory and order as needed via coordination with Business Manager.
  • Reporting office progress to senior management and working with them to improve office operations and procedures.
  • Coordinate travel, correspondence, and other administrative needs of the company’s executives and owners.
  • Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.
  • Provide and/or compile data for reports and analysis, particularly those related to Accounting and Customer Service.
  • Complete data entry, scanning, and indexing as needed with a focus on supporting the Accounting Department.
  • Assist with data collection for monthly expense reports.
  • Generate sales reports as needed.
  • Assist with month-end reporting as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Required and responsible for employee safety, attending safety training, complying with all company safety and work policies and reporting all accidents/injuries immediately to their Manager and HR Department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
The minimum education required for this position is a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably an Associates Degree in business management or related field. Minimum 1 years experience in office administration; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in accounting or book keeping strongly preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents; to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to read, speak, and write the English language. Ability to present prepared information to a variety of groups including drivers, employees, and management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to comprehend and apply the principles of mathematics. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions. Knowledge of costing and production methods in a manufacturing environment.
REASONING ABILITY:
This position requires an ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the Company and its insurers.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Computer skills to include experience working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, any Web Browser, HRIS or payroll systems, and Access system.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may frequently lift/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. The employee is required to apply a “buddy system” for products weighing more than 50 lbs. Physical requirements include, but may not be limited to, walking up and down stairs/ladders including heights over 40 feet and negotiating uneven surfaces. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, reading and visual inspection. Required to have visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to humid conditions, fumes, toxic chemicals and heat. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Exposure to outside environmental conditions with no effective protection from the weather and may be subject to both extreme heat and extreme cold.
