Boston University is Hiring a Pediatric Endocrinologist, Department of Pediatrics Near Boston, MA

The Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center (BMC) seek a board certified/board-eligible Pediatric Endocrinologist. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual excited to join our expanding division, contributing to clinical care, teaching, and research at a leading academic medical center.

Join a thriving team: You'll collaborate with fellow pediatric endocrinologists, nurses, and a nutritionist in the care of patients in the ambulatory and inpatient setting, be involved in the teaching and supervision of medical students and residents.

Lead in medical education: We offer the opportunity to assume the role of Leadership in Equity and Advocacy (LEAD) Track Director and Associate Program Director of the Boston Combined Residency Program (BCRP). BCRP is a nationally recognized leader in pediatric residency training, welcoming 62 interns annually, including 12 dedicated LEAD track residents. As LEAD Director, you will collaborate closely with the Program Director at Boston Medical Center and play a vital role in the Department's education team. You will be responsible for overseeing a health equity-focused curriculum, equip residents with essential advocacy skills, oversee mentorship programs, cultivate engaging community partnerships, and drive educational innovation within the track. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the future of pediatrics by fostering a generation of leaders committed to health equity and advocacy.

Lead in patient care and research: Expand our offerings related to endocrinology, diabetes, and weight management. We offer comprehensive Type 1 and 2 Diabetes Programs and an Adolescent Transgender Program and collaborate closely with Pediatric and Adult GI and Nutrition on weight management services, including bariatric surgery. We have a strong collaboration with our Adult Endocrinology colleagues, including an embedded adult endocrinologist, to manage a Pediatric- to-Adult Transition Clinic for our adolescents. We have a strong partnership with Endocrinology at Boston Children’s Hospital, including shared clinic and consult coverage and seamless access to quaternary care. Strong leadership, clinical skills, and a passion for academic medicine are essential.
