Hours: 7am - 3pm (Flexiblity)

About the role:
Maintains facilities, facilities systems and equipment in order to provide a safe, efficient and comfortable workplace. Responsibilities include operation, repair, and preventative maintenance of all building facilities and equipment; move and installation of equipment and or furniture; light carpentry work; and other related duties.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Performs plant and/or office facilities maintenance duties such as fixing flooring, walls, ceiling, lights, doors, etc.
  • Performs routine repairs and maintenance of plant and/or office facilities and equipment by using hand or power tools as required.
  • Performs work in more than one of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical and HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, and welding, for the construction, repair, and/or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. (Senior Level)
  • Hang signage and/or fixtures in the office or manufacturing space.
  • Maintain mechanical and electrical areas in an organized and clean manner, including support in exterior facilities clean up.
  • Works with outside contractors on facilities and equipment repairs.
  • Where and when applicable, remove snow from entrances and docking areas by using appropriate equipment.
  • Makes routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. (Senior Level)
  • Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment and reports problems to supervisor as appropriate. (Senior Level)
  • Interprets blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. (Senior Level)
  • Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process. (Senior Levels)

Required qualifications:

  • 1 year of related experience
  • Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education/work experience
