Summary: The Math Curriculum Coordinator leads and supports all 3-6 staff in the implementation of the BRCPS Math programming. The Curriculum Coordinator collaborates, and works closely with Directors, Assistant Directors, Instructional Coaches, Data & Assessment Coordinator and Math Specialists to ensure implementation of programs, standards, indicators of success, and data/benchmarks to guide instructional decisions through grade level team meetings and observational rounds with mastery-oriented feedback. The Math Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for the management of materials, which includes budgeting, ordering, tracking, and distribution. Professional Responsibilities:Strategic Planning and DevelopmentServe as team member for all initiatives and curricula related to Math Plan and organize New Teacher Orientation and August Professional Development sessions for all staffTracking of school-wide Math professional developmentWorking with outside Professional Development organizations to organize sessions, dates, and logisticsFacilitate grade level initiatives and professional developmentOrganizing math learning walks to monitor and support implementation of curricula and make note of development needs Leading and Managing Staff:Continuous evaluation of the Math programs and curriculaSupervise and evaluate Math SpecialistsWork with Directors, Assistant Directors and Instructional Coaches to organize support for teachers to include: leading some grade level team meetings, collaborating with content leads, routine content implementation coaching and mastery-oriented feedback to instructional staffCollaborate with grade level teachers around Math Block and WIN structuresCurriculum Responsibilities:Continuously plan for and implement Math Common Core State StandardsOrder, disseminate, and track all Math curricula materialsFacilitate math adoption implementation or curriculum reviewsOrganize grade level programs and interventions Monitor and update pacing guidesData Analyses:Organize and plan assessment cycles- Curriculum Based Measures, Interventions, formal and informal classroom assessments/data collectionOrganize and participate in data meetings- team and individualObserve implementation of action plans and give feedback Qualifications:Bachelors Degree (Required) Masters Degree (Preferred)MA Professional License (preferred)Minimum three years prior experienceExperience working or teaching in a urban school districtStrong leadership qualities and facilitation skillsExperience working with teachers to improve practiceExperience in data analysesExperience in preparing model lessons, observing teachers, or providing non-evaluative feedbackStrong organizational skills
