Core Requirements:
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with the multi-disciplinary clinical team
- Organizational, problem solving and time management skills
- Advance principles of abnormal psychology
- Experience working with psychiatric patients-some hospital experience preferred
- Carries out the personnel management activities associated with direct staff supervision, including screening and selection, orientation training, and development, performance management and employee relations functions.
- Conducts psychosocial assessments with patients, families, community providers to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus, as needed.
- Develops and coordinates individualized treatment and discharge plans to determine aftercare needs, as needed.
- Represents the facility in involuntary commitment hearings, as needed.
- Attends treatment team meetings to provide social work perspective to total case management.
- Reports to community/state agencies and partnerships, as needed.
- Provides supervision to psychiatric social workers who have not yet obtained independent licensure.
**A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts is required for this position**
- Must have, as a minimum, 3 years of supervised social work experience.
- Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- 5 years management experience
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, patients, family members, visitors, government, state, and local agencies, community providers, and the general public.
- Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with a multi-disciplinary team.
