Boston, Massachusetts is Hiring an Intervention Teacher/Specialist Near Livingston, NJ
Responsibilities:
To provide superior opportunities for students in line with the ‘Be Ambitious’ model that is embedded in the Nord Anglia philosophy;
In collaboration with the Director of Learning Support, provide push/pull intervention services for students in the areas of Numeracy and Literacy;
Assess, plan, resource and collaborate with class teachers to provide support to students.
Deliver numeracy and literacy intervention sessions for students needing additional support.
Assess, plan, resource and collaborate with class teachers to provide student support.
Maintain records of students' progress, including required statutory documents and reports.
Assess students using standardized assessments to determine intervention next steps.
Write Learning Support Plans outlining best practice for the classroom and intervention overview.
Write reports to parents as required and conduct Parent Teacher Conferences.
Contribute to the school improvement/development planning and promote the learning priorities of the school development plan.
Use the school's student tracking and reporting process to advance student learning and enhance professional practice.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of different learning styles and learning differences.
Experience planning and delivering intervention focused on foundational numeracy and literacy skills.
Orton Gillingham Certificate (Desirable but not essential).
Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
Experience with records maintenance, parent-teacher communication and understanding of assessment tools.
Leadership skills to inspire trust and confidence in students and colleagues, build team commitment, and improve the quality of students' learning.
