Boston, Massachusetts is Hiring an Intervention Teacher/Specialist Near Livingston, NJ

Responsibilities:
  • To provide superior opportunities for students in line with the ‘Be Ambitious’ model that is embedded in the Nord Anglia philosophy;
  • In collaboration with the Director of Learning Support, provide push/pull intervention services for students in the areas of Numeracy and Literacy;
  • Assess, plan, resource and collaborate with class teachers to provide support to students.
  • Deliver numeracy and literacy intervention sessions for students needing additional support.
  • Assess, plan, resource and collaborate with class teachers to provide student support.
  • Maintain records of students' progress, including required statutory documents and reports.
  • Assess students using standardized assessments to determine intervention next steps.
  • Write Learning Support Plans outlining best practice for the classroom and intervention overview.
  • Write reports to parents as required and conduct Parent Teacher Conferences.
  • Contribute to the school improvement/development planning and promote the learning priorities of the school development plan.
  • Use the school's student tracking and reporting process to advance student learning and enhance professional practice.
Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of different learning styles and learning differences.
  • Experience planning and delivering intervention focused on foundational numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Orton Gillingham Certificate (Desirable but not essential).
  • Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Experience with records maintenance, parent-teacher communication and understanding of assessment tools.
  • Leadership skills to inspire trust and confidence in students and colleagues, build team commitment, and improve the quality of students' learning.
