As an Industrial Designer at Boston Dynamics, you will help define and develop our robot platforms from concept through production. You will join a multidisciplinary design group devoted to producing extremely high quality products, and a culture that embraces collaboration. How you will make an impact: Provide iterative concept development, design refinement and production support Support the industrial design leads and product teams Close collaboration with the engineering, UX, HRI research Contribute to defining and evolving the visual form language of our products Contribute to team understanding around workflows and usability We are looking for: BFA / BS in Industrial Design Ability to demonstrate superb form development Experience building mock-ups and configuration prototypes Proficiency in visual communication and related tools Proficiency in 3D CAD Modeling (Rhino3D, etc.) Experience working with complex assemblies / geometries Experience mapping user workflows A demonstrated understanding of color, material & finish Basic understanding of various manufacturing processes Basic understanding of Keyshot or similar rendering software Experience with consumer products (a plus) UX, Animation, other adjacent skill sets (a plus) Please submit a portfolio of work samples, web link (preferred) or pdf.
