Boston Consulting Group is Hiring a Senior Knowledge Analyst - Digital Oil & Gas Near Houston, TX
As a Senior Analyst within BCG's Energy Practice Area knowledge team, you will work in a growing global team, providing Digital Transformation expertise in the Oil & Gas sector, working together with BCG case and proposal teams to understand OilCOs critical business challenges and implement technology-focused solutions to empower organizations to drive their business to more efficient operations and create new business opportunities.
You will work together with case and proposal teams as an expert partner to perform analysis, deploy IP tools and provide expert advisory. You’ll serve as a trusted partner and content expert to case teams and Digital in Oil & Gas leaders, helping structure and solve complex technology issues. This can involve occasional direct client exposure during workshop or case staffing.
In addition, you will support in developing existing & new intellectual property and knowledge assets to support Digital and IT Transformation efforts in our Oil & Gas clients. You will work on commercialization efforts for the topic/sector, in conjunction with business leaders, supporting marketing efforts, conferences and publications. • Solving client problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approaches
• Bringing a holistic view on how to link technology to business outcomes for the Oil and Gas Sector
• Solid expertise on designing and developing digital technology strategies and transformation of core business processes for O&G companies IT and Business Units
• Codifying knowledge and maintaining assets and tools for the Digital in Energy topic based on different client contexts.
• Communicating with senior stakeholders in a credible and confident way. Strong slide writing skills required.
• Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working
• Flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas.
• Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity.• 2 years of consulting experience in digital transformation efforts of Oil & Gas clients required.
• In lieu of consulting experience, 3 years minimum industry experience required working in IT/Digital Departments of Oil & Gas or companies working for the Oil & Gas industry in digitalization efforts.
• Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences or business administration preferred). Other advanced degrees will be also considered
• Fluency in English, other languages requested in certain locations
• Good understanding of technology enabled business transformation, digital solution spaces, and application and technology stacks adopted by leading players in Oil & Gas Industry.
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment
