WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the North America (NAMR) Business Services Team (BST) Learning and Development Director, you will develop and execute the learning strategy for ~2K BST across all of our offices and hubs in North America. You will work with leaders across NAMR to deeply understand the needs of our learners, develop segmented learning journeys that address those needs, operationalize the learning across a variety of learning platforms and contexts, and evaluate the efficacy and impact of each program. You will drive the work of the NAMR BST L&D team while working together with L&D colleagues around the globe to provide a best-in-class learning experience for our Business Services Team.
With a strong strategic lens, this role will translate vision into operational excellence, ensuring our learning initiatives are impactful, engaging, and drive business outcomes.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • 12 years of total work experience with Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, or a related field. Advanced Degree (Masters, MBA, JD, PhD, etc.) preferred.
  • Proven experience in Learning and Development, especially in a leadership role, within a matrixed and complex organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate strategies into operational outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a knack for building relationships and driving consensus across different levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
  • Experience working in a global context, with an understanding of cultural nuances and global best practices in L&D.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated experience with effective learning facilitation in both a live and virtual formats.
  • Ability to innovate, embrace change, and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates will be considered at the Senior Manager or Director level, depending on experience.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.

WORK FORMAT:
  • This role currently requires 3 days a week in office presence. This provides flexibility the remaining 40% of the work week. This hybrid work plan allows for critically important learning, collaboration and networking with our colleagues. Specific days in the office are agreed upon by the team.

YOU'RE GOOD AT
  • Strategy Development: Design and implement a cohesive L&D strategy that addresses the diverse needs of NAMR BST across all phases of the employee lifecycle and aligns with evolving firm goals.
  • Curriculum Development: Oversee the creation and continuous improvement of learning curriculums for NAMR BST, including foundational learning for all BST, select role-based learning strategies, just-in-time learning for critical business needs like new technology or working strategies, and learning journeys for new hires, new People Managers and leaders. Ensure this curriculum contributes to global learning objectives and leverages existing best practice. Regularly refresh content to ensure it remains cutting edge.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders (examples - geographic leaders, functional leaders, COO, etc.) across the organization to deeply understand the learning needs of our BST and create tailored solutions that match the applicable team, functional and organizational contexts. Coach stakeholders to identify holistic solutions for their teams and direct them to the appropriate resources.
  • Marketing and Communications: Devise and implement strategies to effectively communicate and market the learning portfolio to maximize participation and impact.
  • Measurement and Evaluation: Establish metrics and evaluation processes to assess the effectiveness of learning programs and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  • Global Collaboration: Work together with worldwide L&D colleagues to understand and drive best practices for BST leaders around the globe, playing a central role in ensuring ensure consistency and quality in our global learning initiatives in partnership with the global BST L&D team.
  • Team Management: Lead, engage and develop the L&D team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
YOU'LL WORK WITH
This individual is a part of the North America BST People Team whose mission is to provide each member of our BST the resources and support they need to become the best possible person and professional while at BCG. This role will be pivotal in orchestrating cross-functional collaborations across the organization, partnering closely with geographic and functional leaders, Human Resources, and global L&D counterparts. This role involves steering strategic L&D initiatives, leveraging insights from industry associations, and managing relationships with external vendors, all while leading an internal team dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
