Job Description

Working under the supervision of theAssociate Vice President in the Office of University Communications, the SeniorDigital Content Writer will work closely with OUC’s marketing and design teamsto create digital ads in support of undergraduate and graduate studentrecruitment, and its web team in support of its digital content needs. TheSenior/Digital Content Writer will also be tasked with writing assignments forAdmissions viewbooks, as well as BC Magazine, and BC Chronicle, as needed.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $61,650 - $77,050; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degreepreferred. Candidates should have 5 plus years of experience in digital contentwriting, with a preference for experience in the higher education sector.
Excellent digital content writing skills and experience in digital advertisingis required. Candidates should also have experience in writing copy andtaglines in support of student recruitment campaigns, knowledge of pagebuilding and content layout, and a proven track record in feature writing.
In addition, knowledge of higher education communications issues; anappreciation of academic culture; experience in web-based technologies, contentcreation for multi-channels, digital marketing, PPC, SEO, email marketing andthe importance of using data to inform and refine marketing efforts, areessential skills.
Applicants should show an ability to develop strong partnerships withcolleagues and University partners, and to earn trust within an organization.The capacity to oversee a wide range of projects at once are essential, as aredeveloping appropriate priorities and meeting all deadlines.
