Job Description:
Reporting to the Associate Director, Systems Management& Data Analysis, the Report Developer is the first responder to all reportinginquires for University Advancement, collaborating with colleagues from acrossthe division to deliver information in a timely fashion to help achieve the fundraisingand engagement goals of Boston College.
The Report Developer will beresponsible for:
Running ad hoc queries and creating reports from the Blackbaud CRM application on a daily basis using a variety of reporting tools and business intelligence tools.
Coordinating basic data imports through CRM Batch utilities, BrightVine Data Loader or partnership with UA Systems Management & Data Analysis team or ITS programmer/developers.
Collaborating with the Senior Business Systems Analyst to ensure that all report requests, application updates, and business processes are properly documented and tested before deployment.
Collaborating with the Associate Director, Data Management and Records Assistants to ensure the data integrity of the CRM database.
Collaborating with UA/ITS Developers when application data or configuration needs to be added or changed.
This successful candidate willpossess the technical skills to assist the Systems Management & DataAnalysis Team using variety of reporting toolsincluding but not limited to: Blackbaud CRM Ad-Hoc Query, Export Definitions,T-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Studio, Power BI, Tableau, Oracle ApplicationExpress and Excel.
Full-TimeEquivalent Hiring Range: $61,650 - $77,050; salary commensurate with relevantexperience.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
This position requires aBachelor’s degree and one to three years application development and reportingexperience with development and alumni data processing systems, preferably inan institution of higher education in a campaign environment.
Technical and operational supportskills required include:
Knowledge of development and alumni data processing systems; Blackbaud CRM is preferred.
Experience in developing reports using T-SQL and Business Intelligence tools listed above.
Excellent analytical skills for application and report specification development; must be able to communicate well with personnel of varying technical expertise in order to translate their business needs.
In addition, must havegood interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, an aptitude forworking with numerical data, an ability to work independently with carefulattention to detail, a respect for the confidentiality of donor records and acustomer service focus. To besuccessful, must be able to balance priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-pacedoffice environment.
Must be a team player whois highly motivated and dedicated to the goals of advancing higher education andhave an appreciation for Jesuit Catholic education and the goals and values ofBoston College.
