JOB TITLE: Sr. Manager - Business Systems
REPORTS TO: CFO
LOCATION: Woburn MA (Company HQ)
SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing the company’s manufacturing and business systems (implemented software solutions) and all company data. Continually evaluate business systems, updates and feature adds, and evolving organizational requirements in order to maximize how they add value to the success of the company. Utilize knowledge, business analysis, technology and data governance to maximize productivity and communication throughout the organization. Work closely with management to develop analytics to manage the business, identify and evaluate trends, and analyze profitability and productivity. This role communicates directly with department heads to anticipate business systems functionality that can enhance workflows and accelerate progress toward goals, evaluates and recommends solutions. Supports users for utilization of applications and related tools, including issue resolution and training. Assist senior management in negotiating and administering service level agreements and warranty covering subscription and licensed software and hardware.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for:
o Analyzing business operations and the business's computer systems and determining which software applications could improve efficiency.
o Making recommendations on systems upgrades or replacement.
o Managing service providers for support and implementation of business systems.
o Creating and overseeing protocols and procedures for the use of any new software applications.
o Training users on business systems.
o Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest software developments.
o Managing relationships with vendors, negotiating annual contracts, and maintaining certifications.
• Work with Managed Service Providers (MSP) to:
o Develop a system with a provision for continuity of operations during any disaster recovery or other emergency situations.
o Produce ‘end-to-end’ project documentation (i.e., business requirements, functional design, test plans, training, etc.).
o Provide information necessary for MSP to perform IT risk and control audits.
• Work with Management and MSP to translate business strategy into technology strategy, recommend and implement IT policy and systems in support of the business and set priorities.
• Support all functional areas with analytical tools and data requirements, including training in the use of databases and systems.
• Perform all other job duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS / BACKGROUND:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in development, enhancement, implementation, maintenance, and decommission for a broad range of business applications.
• Experience directly managing third-party support vendor priorities and compliance.
• Engages in ongoing education, development, certifications (classes, schools, seminars).
