About the position

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for providing outrageous customer service to retail and commercial customers in person, online, and over the phone. This individual is responsible for creating and receiving purchase orders, transferring inventory within our organization, creating bank deposits, applying commercial account payments, and checking all items for accuracy against their purchase orders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide outrageous customer service to retail and commercial customers
  • Provide product information regarding batteries and make recommendations to customers
  • Basic vehicle battery installations
  • Key Fob and watch battery installations
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Adhere to all company procedures to ensure all business opportunities are maximized
  • Utilize Interstate Batteries marketing & sales tools available
  • Resolve any potential issues in a timely, professional and friendly manner to achieve highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate inventory
  • Provide internal support to various departments
  • Other projects & tasks as assigned
  • On as needed basis, delivering products to customers
  • Provide coverage to other retail stores, as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs throughout the day
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Experience installing batteries is a plus but we will train
  • Strong customer service & communications skills
  • Energetic, positive, outgoing attitude
  • Basic computer, internet, phone skills required
  • Demonstrated passionate customer focus with desire to foster positive relationships
  • Reliable transportation & valid driver’s license
