Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead expert on system design process for application modernization projects.
Provide direction, guidance, definition, evaluation, and facilitation for the development of current and future architecture.
Evaluate, develop, and implement comprehensive and scalable architectural designs that align with business objectives.
Architect and implement solutions that leverage modern technologies and frameworks.
Provide technical leadership in migrating legacy applications to contemporary architectures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system designs meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
Stay abreast of the latest technology trends and advise team on implementable solutions.
Provide advice and guidance to team leads regarding technical and design decisions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of proven experience as an Application Modernization Architect.
Experience/Knowledge (5 years) of implementing solutions for health industry and familiarity with standards and best practices.
Experience/Knowledge of federal government industry is a plus.
Leadership and agile project management experience using Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence tools.
Expertise in system design, architecture, and modern application development processes.
Experience migrating and modernizing legacy applications to cloud-native architectures.
Experience and deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, applications, and trends.
Advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure, software application, and design.
Experience using Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, or other major cloud computing services.
Strong cloud migration and data management skills with an emphasis on data privacy and security.
Experience with AI/ML/LLM tools and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Certifications:
Required - AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional,
Nice to have - AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Technical Architect Certifications
Excellent teamwork capabilities including working with diverse team members and stakeholders.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Refined presentation and communication skills and the ability to interface and communicate effectively with both engineers and executives.
