Propane Delivery Driver I

The Propane Delivery Driver I is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of bulk propane to an established customer base. Drivers will assist with other routes and within the plant and dock as needed. Drivers are responsible for completing all assigned duties in accordance with company policies, and federal, state and local regulations.

Direct Responsibilities Include:

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Deliver bulk propane to customers.
• Prospect and grow customer base by identifying new opportunities in surrounding communities.
• Prepare delivery tickets and complete paperwork for processing.Assist and/or fill in on other routes and provide su
• Complete propane system hookups and gas tests as needed.
• Provide parts support and perform propane equipment diagnostics.
• Assist dock customers and process orders.
• Assist and/or fill in on other routes and provide support within the plant as needed.
• Observe and adhere to safety and security procedures.
• Deliver and assist with other propane and petroleum products as needed.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities according to established safety rules and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Preference: An individual must be able to perform or learn these essential duties satisfactorily. The list below is representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years related experience and/or training helpful.
• Class A/B CDL and a good driving record are required.

Hazmat Endorsement is also required.

• General math skills required: addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
• Excellent customer service skills and excellent communication skills.
• Experience using computers, including email, electronic log books, and other applications preferred.
• Regular and dependable attendance is an essential function of this position.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
