As we continue to expand our global team, we are seeking a highly skilled Demand Planner to join us in our journey.Role Overview:The Demand Planner is a business analyst and critical thinker who makes data-driven decisions informed by leveraging multiple sources of internal and external product, market, and financial data. The Demand Planners primary goal is to drive a timely, accurate and complete forecast to meet or exceed operational targets. They have ownership for all demand planning activities for a specific region in support of the monthly S&OP process. The planner drives alignment with sales, product, and marketing teams to create a consensus demand plan and communicate gaps to targets. Planners are accountable for regional and global forecast accuracy and attainment, inventory days on hand and customer fill rate. Demand planners build strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and deliver analytical excellence to optimize business results.Essential Functions:
  • Lead a monthly demand consensus process with key stakeholders to drive realistic sales forecasts.
  • Monthly review of demand history and adjustment of forecast models to meet forecast attainment and forecast accuracy metrics.
  • Analyze historical data, market trends, project probabilities and customer insight to align demand.
  • Asses historical anomalies and adjust system inputs in generation best fit statistical modeling.
  • Communicate with sales partners to understand their changing needs and execute demand plan changes with urgency.
  • Create awareness of forecast and target misalignments to drive collaborative resolution.
  • Create forecasts for new products and prepare detailed launch plans.
  • Maintain master data within planning systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Input and maintain forecast in demand planning system.
  • Communicate major changes to key stake holders
  • Participate in training and support of conversion to new forecast planning system.
Required Skill and Abilities:
  • Ability to work with multiple data and information sources, be well organized and adaptable to changes in business demand.
  • Experience with demand modeling, demand shaping, and allocation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in critical thinking, influence, negotiation, problem solving, analytics and strategic thinking.
  • Directly address challenges using data and deliver results using sound analytics.
  • Ability to create and foster a team-based environment to establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with individuals.
  • Ability to effectively lead and facilitate meetings with cross functional teams and drive appropriate actions.
  • Experience working within Excel and ERP Planning systems such as NetSuite and NetSuite Planning and Budgeting.
Location: This hybrid role will be based in our Bose Professional headquarters in Framingham, Massachusetts, currently set at 3-days a week on-site.
