Job Description

Provides front line operations leadership to warehouse personnel in a high energy, fact paced, quality focused environment, responsibility for meeting all safety, quality and productivity KPIs for the shift, implementation of strategic initiatives to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality, delivering on the spot performance feedback, developing talent, oversight of new hire training, updating and/or creating work instructions and approving overtime.

Also responsible for administrative duties including but not limited to Labor Management Tracking, arranging carrier transportation, managing Kronos punches, reviewing/approving invoices, management of in transit freight, expediting orders, identifying/correcting WMS issues, and completing inventory adjustments. 

Ensures Warehouse team members perform all inventory and operational transactions in accordance to Freud policy and procedures in order to maintain a high level of inventory accuracy in the WMS. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Foster an environment conducive to Safety and Quality at all times
• Responsible for all shift activities and delivering results on KPIs
• Make certain all Freud policies and procedures are enforced at all times
• Identify team members struggling to consistently meet KPI targets, provide feedback, coach and develop to improve performance
• Perform root cause analysis within the WMS to assist with to resolve inventory and/or transactional issues
• Support a team atmosphere that embraces the Freud Vision and Mission and the inclusion of associates’ ideas in order to enhance the performance of the warehouse operation.

Qualifications

Education, Work Experience, Certification:

• Bachelor’s Degree or eight years of supervisory experience
• Minimum of two years People Management Experience Required
• Some overtime is required and flexibility in schedule depending on production demands 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Leadership – displays a strong drive for results and the ability to deal with ambiguity
• Ability to prioritize in the face of ambiguity
• Strong ability to effectively communicate both up and down the organization structure
• Knowledgeable in all areas of Warehouse processes
• Ability to coach and mentor team members
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to train others on Warehouse Processes and Procedures
• Ability to input, analyze and understand computer based WMS system transactions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Physical Requirements:

1. Incumbents will routinely be exposed to equipment operational noise
2. Incumbents will be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods, as required by job duties.
3. Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
4. Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided “reach assistance technology” or “movement assist technology” (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly’s, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.
