Borton Petrini, LLP, a statewide A-V rated law firm, has an immediate opening in our Bakersfield, and Modesto offices for a legal word processor with a minimum of three years experience.

The ideal candidate must:

• Have excellent computer skills.
• Have a strong proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Have the ability to perform merge applications, macros and special command functions as well as a general knowledge of other software packages and applications including Adobe Acrobat.
• Have three year's of word processing related experience preferably in the legal field.
• Have a typing speed of a minimum of 65 wpm and applicants must provide a current typing certificate.
• Have the ability to operate standard office equipment including scanning.
• Be able to prioritize numerous assignments from multiple attorneys consisting of pleadings, correspondence, agreements and other types of legal documents and project work using strong teamwork skills but having the ability to work independently to timely complete priority assignments.
• Be flexible and able to handle changing priorities and will have additional job duties as requested including providing support and backup to receptionist and file clerk.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
