Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Parking Enforcement Officer. As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with parking regulations and maintaining order within designated parking areas. This is an opportunity to contribute to the smooth flow of traffic and provide excellent customer service to the public.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol assigned areas to enforce parking regulations and issue citations as necessary
- Monitor parking meters and ensure proper payment
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide assistance with parking-related issues
- Maintain accurate records of violations, citations, and payments
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
- Conduct regular inspections of parking facilities to identify maintenance or safety concerns
- Assist with traffic control during special events or emergencies
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Certification in law enforcement or related field is preferred
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Excellent report writing skills to accurately document violations and incidents
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in accordance with established guidelines
- Exceptional customer service skills to interact effectively with the public
