This is an onsite position - candidate must be able to commute to the Virginia Beach, VA location daily.

Overview:
The Demand Planner will play a pivotal role in optimizing Born Primitive’s inventory levels and ensuring product availability. Expertise in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, along with the ability to create and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), is essential for this role.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Demand Forecasting and Analysis:
    • Develop accurate weekly and monthly demand forecasts using statistical models
    • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to understand demand drivers
    • Utilize MRP and ERP systems (such as Deposco, Logility, Netsuite, Dynamics, SAP, etc.) to enhance forecasting accuracy
    • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
  • Inventory Management:
    • Provide input to the Supply Planning team for inventory strategies
    • Ensure the accuracy of inventory levels to meet demand
    • Identify slow-moving items and propose strategies for effective management
    • Create and maintain KPIs related to forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and stockouts
  • Demand Plan Creation:
    • Collaborate with channel leaders to gather inputs on market trends, promotions, and product launches
    • Synthesize information from MRP and ERP systems, historical data, and external factors to create a comprehensive demand plan
    • Align the demand plan with production schedules and procurement activities
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Analyze demand patterns and propose improvements to forecast accuracy
    • Work cross-functionally to enhance demand planning processes
    • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements


Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in demand planning or related roles
  • Proficiency in MRP and ERP systems (Deposco, Logility, Netsuite, Dynamics, SAP, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience creating and maintaining KPIs related to demand planning


Physical Requirements:

This is a primarily sedentary position, however, standing desks are available for use. Associates may occasionally climb stairs, bend, stoop, walk, lift up to 10 lbs, and crouch as needed. Rarely associates in this position may be asked to push/pull up to 50 lbs, work in extreme conditions (heat/cold), and/or travel on a voluntary basis.
