Position Identification Position Title: Quality Supervisor Location: Taicang, Jiangsu, China Reports to: Operations Director/Manger Position Summary This position is responsible for the optimization and implementation of a comprehensive quality systems strategy in DTS Taicang Plant; meeting all customers’ expectations as they relate to quality, attaining and maintaining IATF16949, or any other quality recognition required by our customers. Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities Ensure the implementation of all company policies and regulations including position relevant responsibilities in the Safety Responsibility System of the company within the team Build up effective team; supervise and guide the daily teamwork; conduct and feedback regular/irregular performance evaluation; recruit, coach and develop team members Frame, review and approve quality related plan, policy and process; develop quality yearly LRP, budget, headcount plan and other reports required, supervise the implementation after approval; cooperate internal and external audits Process Quality Management: Be involved in process development from product quality control point of view, develop and implement a comprehensive quality control system together with ME function, in order to meet zero defect quality delivery to customer together with continuous decrease internal scrap rate Handing customer incidents, find out root causes and take corrective action; prepare monthly process quality performance report and customer quality performance report Develop and maintain an Electronic and Mechanical Gage Calibration process of the production line and workshop floor regularly Provide metrology support for production line process capability, measuring system and keep monitoring variation, and take actions in time when needed Provide product production testing with analysis and criteria to ensure that testing methods meet the product performance characteristics for quality Oversee the maintenance of the process records library and PPAP Submission files ensuring complete integrity of the system Develop specific work procedures to minimize risks, train employees on the procedures, lesson learned and “Zero Defect” quality awareness Facilitate workplace inspections and close findings Coordinate and organize customer audit Customer Quality Management: Track and report the key warranty issue, push internal continue-improvement and problem solving Finish and approval defect modules analysis report, investigate the evidence to prove the conclusion Feedback and solve issues on customer site quickly; prepare warranty analysis report, and explain to the customer Lab management: be responsible for quality lab management to ensure smooth operations Supplier Quality Management: Drive and support the implementation of supplier VA/VE, scrap reduction and efficient improvement Be responsible for supplier on-site quality performance verification, confirmation, statistics, rectification plan tracking and progress report Supervise the implementation of supplier on-site selection process Quality System Management: Lead and plan the internal activities between the various departments during the design, development and implementation of all systems, like BWQS, Quality Systems, IATF16949, Customer Specific Requirements Facilitate training in the systems area Host and support all third party/customer certification / registration audits. Serve as the lead auditor on all internal quality system audit and other specific audits Lead change management Other tasks assigned by superior Requirements / Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Engineering is a must, Master Degree or MBA is preferred Min. 5 years quality management experience in automotive Industry and min. 3 years team management experience 6 Sigma training & practice experience, black belt certification is a plus Experience with general office computer tools (word processing, spreadsheets, and office communications) Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English Internal Use Only: Salary Global Terms of Use and Privacy Statement Carefully read the BorgWarner Privacy Policy before using this website.
