Border Region Behavioral Health Center is Hiring a Reimbursement Specialist Near Laredo, TX

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees billing procedures for Border Region BHC clients. Performing complex clerical duties related to Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care Organizations, and private insurance billing. Responsible for reconciliation of third-party payments accounts, ensuring accounts are accurate and up to date. Also reviews, corrects, and resubmits all denials which includes the collaboration with departments to rectify the denial issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED plus one (1) year experience in billing, coding, or claim submissions
  • One (1) semester (15 semester hours) of accredited college work in a related field may substitute for each six (6) months of the required work experience up to a max of one (year)
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Texas billing practices
  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Great customer service skills, including interpersonal conversation, patience, and empathy
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices
  • Organization, time management, and prioritization abilities
  • Ability to be discreet and maintain the security of patient or customer information
  • Effective computer skills to input to use bookkeeping and account management software in a timely and efficient manner
  • Understanding of industry specific policies for health care
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and written in English and Spanish

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.94 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
