Responsible for participating in the daily operations of the Borden Cottage housekeeping services and assuring that patient care areas are cleaned and sanitized.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains open communication with both staff and residents to assure that resident needs are being met.
• Communicates all cleaning and linen supply needs to the Housekeeping Manager in a timely manner.
• Assures that resident rooms and bathrooms are always prepared and ready for new admission arrival dates.
• Assures that infection control standards are achieved daily.
• Attends monthly staff meetings.

• Reports directly to the Housekeeping Manager.

Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Requires exceptional housekeeping skills and high-quality customer service. Requires excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Knowledge of operation of all housekeeping equipment and able to identify maintenance needs.

• Willing to be trained to meet the needs of the program.
• Able to follow directions and assure duties and deadlines are met.
• Works well in a team setting.
• Maintains patient privacy and HIPAA compliance at all times.
• All employees must possess basic computer skills to use a variety of electronic or online systems for communication, clinical and administrative purposes.

Working Conditions:

32 hours per week; weekends may be required. May allow for additional hours if coverage needs arise. Work includes standing for long periods of time, bending, climbing stairs; accessing the second and third floors regularly; and some lifting will be required.
