Research Analysis and Design Project Manager

The Opportunity:

As a study operations project manager, you’re passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need a seasoned Research Analysis and Design Project Manager with a healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse background like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. On our health team, you’ll lead the evaluation of data assessment strategies such as study selection, study design and planning, study execution and analysis, and study outcomes measurement to deliver solutions.

You won’t go at it alone; you’ll guide the team to conduct research, prepare graphs and charts, and analyze and interpret programmatic data. Once documented, you’ll oversee the development of program briefs, documentations, presentations, or graphs to present results, collaborate with stakeholders and hold various program meetings to improve program efficiency.

In this role, you’ll share your passion for analytics and statistics to devise modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques and other principles and laws of scientific, sociological, and economic disciplines.

Use your research analysis and design expertise to develop technologies and concepts that advance detection and deterrence of healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse. Provide expertise to help develop studies and methodologies to identify healthcare fraud schemes.

You Have:

  • 10 years of experience with managing relationships with various stakeholders
  • 5 years of experience with managing the selection, collection, analysis, and measurement of data
  • Knowledge of healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse
  • Knowledge of program integrity tactics, processes, programs, policies, plans, and procedures, including the Medicare Program Integrity manual, the Comprehensive Medicaid Integrity Plan, Provider Screening and Enrollment requirements, or the Medicaid Provider Enrollment Compendium (MPEC)
  • Knowledge of both federal and state payer data, including encounter data, claims, and administrative data
  • Knowledge of health payer coverage limitations and policies, including LCDs, NCDs, or commercial payer policies, and common industry claim edits, including NCCI
  • Ability to apply automation techniques to drive insights and efficiency
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Science, Public Health, Policy, or Administration

Nice If You Have:

  • 5 years of experience in Federal Government program or project management
  • Experience in the evaluation, assessment, analysis, or administration of CMS Program policy, including Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, or Marketplace.
  • Experience working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) - Center for Program Integrity
  • Experience with delivering sensitive information and technical content to a wide range of stakeholders and using a variety of delivery techniques
  • Experience in facilitating large meetings with both internal and external audiences
  • Experience with healthcare or benefits payer audits, investigations, and reviews, including data analysis, interviewing, report writing and editing, and case presentation or briefing
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build effective working relationships
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare, Science, Public Health, Policy, or Administration
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Six Sigma Certification, or Analytics Professional Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
