Technical Writer

Key Role:

Writes and edits technical documentation, user manuals, sales and training literature. Applies basic principles, theories, concepts and limited industry knowledge. Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity and refers more complex issues to higher levels. Works under direct supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

• 1 years of experience with creating contract deliverables and change control project artifacts

• Ability to deliver high-quality documentation summarizing complex technical concepts in an easily understandable format

• Ability to work with development teams generating documentation on functionality being delivered

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with user guide tools, including RoboHelp

• Knowledge of system design diagrams

• Ability to support documentation, including standard operating procedures, system design documents, service contract documents, and interface control documents

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,200.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
