Systems Engineer
The Opportunity:
A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable defensive and offensive cyberspace operators to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That’s why we need you, an experienced network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network for Air Force needs.
As a network engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience in VMWare, vCenter, vSphere, Cisco routing and switching, PowerShell, Microsoft Server, Linux, Unix, vendor agnostic firewall configurations, network design, architecture, and multi-protocol label switching to support the nation’s defense. You’ll develop infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze working infrastructure, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. You’ll apply your expertise in routing, switching, encryption, network design and architecture, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, virtual routing, and switching as you join our team of problem-solvers to support Air Force defensive and offensive cyberspace operations.
Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in software and hardware firewalls, Cisco devices, and virtual routing and forwarding, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you’ll make an impact on national security missions.

You Have:
Experience with VMWare, vCenter, or vSphere
Experience with Cisco routing and switching
Knowledge of PowerShell
Ability to configure vendor agnostic firewalls
TS/SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Vyos or Vyatta
Knowledge of Ansible or Terraform
Ability to leverage Docker or Kubernetes
Bachelor's degree
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
