Booz Allen is Hiring a Product Owner Near Mc Lean, VA

Product Owner

Key Role:

Lead the software development team through Agile ceremonies and the development of the product. Understand the overall strategic and tactical needs of the product, translating those requirements through collaboration with the Product Management team to craft well written acceptance criteria for epics and user stories to lay down a clear path to traverse the product roadmap. Manage the product backlog and contribute to development and maintenance of the product roadmap and related product management artefacts. Work day-to-day with the development team to guide, test, and direct the development of the product. Create a culture of inclusion and collaboration within the software development team through your infectious leadership style. Work side-by-side with engineers to build and deliver the system across a broad range of government and commercial customers. Collaborate internally and externally, and leverage your interest in technologies to shape the future of the product. Manage daily hands-on activities with the product evaluating it’s performance, looking for areas of improvement and providing guidance to the software engineering team. Prepare devices for demonstrations, shipping and receiving hardware to team members, and evaluating new technologies.

Basic Qualifications:.

  • 1 years of experience in software development leadership and Agile roles

  • Experience serving as a Product Owner for a software product

  • Experience in an Agile team environment, translating requirements and the product roadmap into Epics and User Stories

  • Experience managing a product backlog

  • Knowledge of web-based systems, virtualization and the Windows platform

  • Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced, team environment

  • Ability to adapt style when interfacing with the development team, internal leadership, and external partners and vendors

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Certified Agile Product Owner (CSPO) Certification

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
