Operations Research Analyst

The Opportunity:

As an operations analyst, you’re passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need a research analyst like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. On our team, you’ll assist in the evaluation of data assessment strategies to help deliver solutions.

You won’t go at it alone, you’ll work with our client and team to conduct research, prepare graphs and charts, and analyze and interpret programmatic or cost data. Once documented, you’ll help develop and present results, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in various program meetings to improve program efficiency. In this role, you’ll use your passion for analytics and statistics to help devise modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines. Use your operations research experience to develop technologies and concepts that advance the DoD.

You Have:

• Experience with using Microsoft Office, including Excel

• Ability to perform a wide variety of cost analysis assignments in support of the program including Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCE) and Program Office Estimates (POE)

• Ability to develop or evaluate cost assessments and cost positions related to systems development, demonstration, and production approaches

• Ability to assess impact on systems and program costs, including analyses of prototype systems

• Ability to work with SMEs to develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs) that will stand up to Army and DoD level review

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with SharePoint and TEAMS

• Possession of excellent analytical skills

• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Data Analytics

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
