Boot Factory Outlet is Hiring an Inbound Inventory Supervisor Near Kissimmee, FL

Description

The Receiving Manager will be responsible for various tasks such as receiving incoming shipments, verifying content received, design and layout of inventory, leading and managing staff. Their main goal is to always ensure accurate and secure receiving of inventory.

To be successful in this position, you must be organized, have good leadership skills and communicate well. Increasingly, a receiving manager must be comfortable working with information systems and reporting to other management on activities and issues. Some other duties include but are not limited to scanning and sorting incoming stock, stocking, stacking, pulling, and tagging of inventory. A strong sense of urgency and organizational skills are required.

This is a working manager position; you are required to work alongside the team as well as lead and direct them.

Essential Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  1. Maintains receiving operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  2. Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and receiving requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  3. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  4. Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
  5. Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  6. Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  7. Maintains safety knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  8.  Maintains employee safety by inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requests for replacement.
  9. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  10.  Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices.
  11. Any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Essential Physical Requirements: (Lifting up to 75 pounds, bending, climbing, reaching, and standing/walking for the entire shift)

  1. Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation. 
  2. Ability to freely access all areas of the warehouse.
  3. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the warehouse.
  4. Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the warehouse generally weighing 0-75 pounds. 
  5. Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Previous management experience.
  2. Previous warehouse/inventory management experience. 
  3. Current forklift certification must be able to produce a copy of it.
  4. Ability to read and interpret documents such as company manual.
  5. Ability to interact with customers and staff. Strong communication skills are a must.
  6. Must be able to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions.
