Are you ready to take your finance and accounting expertise to the next level? We are seeking a seasoned Controller to join our esteemed team as a pivotal member of our organization! This crucial role will be steering our clients toward success in the competitive government contracting sector!
ResponsibilitiesClient Accounting Tasks:
  • Cultivate and enhance the role of Controller function for our esteemed client base
  • Provide integral support for Internal Controls Management
  • Collaborate on Direct and Indirect Cost Budgets
  • Monitor Indirect Rates, facilitating adjustments and Intercompany Allocations as necessary
  • Contribute to Forward and Proposal Pricing endeavors as required
  • Conduct thorough Financial Reviews and Strategic Analyses
  • Facilitate and oversee Audit Readiness initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive Internal and External Accounting Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure strict compliance with FAR, DCAA, GAAP, and CAS regulations
  • Drive Budgeting, Forecasting, Benchmarking, and Cash Reporting and Management efforts
  • Manage Incurred Cost Submissions with precision
  • Execute month-end closings and distribute financial reports to all clients promptly each month
  • Provide support for tax inquiries and audits conducted by third-party CPA firms
  • Conduct and support 1408 assessments and accounting ecosystem evaluations
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned
Client Account Management
  • Offer support for business development initiatives as directed
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned client activities
  • Facilitate the seamless onboarding of new clients
  • Lead internal and client status meetings with confidence
  • Deliver Executive Strategic Advice and Support to Client CEOs and Senior Leadership
  • Assume a leadership role in nurturing GovCons' growth and providing counsel on their expansion strategies
  • Ensure a remarkable 95% client retention rate annually
Management Responsibilities
  • Maintain a robust 70-80% utilization rate as Controller
  • Supervise and manage personnel effectively
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and training for direct reports
  • Manage client workload for direct reports, ensuring utilization goals are met consistently
  • Conduct thorough performance reviews for direct reports
  • Approve timesheets and invoices for direct client support
  • Support and mentor our accounting staff in their daily responsibilities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 8 years of experience in finance/accounting, with a focus on government contracts across various types
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Profound understanding of FASB and GAAP principles
  • Advanced knowledge of CAS, FAR, and DFARs regulations
  • Expertise in all accounting and financial transactions, including cost review, account reconciliation, and adjustments
  • Proactive, service-oriented approach with strong communication, project management, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and web-based applications
  • Experience with accounting systems such as Unanet, Quickbooks, or Deltek Costpoint preferred
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a keen sense of humor in a dynamic environment
  • Strong ability to plan ahead, manage multiple clients, and maintain focus while juggling priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
