School psychologists needed in Sussex and Kent County, DE. Are you an experienced Delaware school psychologist? Ready to be your own boss and work a more flexible hybrid schedule completing psycho-educational evaluations? Boost Learning is a Delaware-based special education staffing solutions company specializing in school psychology support services to school districts and charter schools throughout the state. From northern New Castle county to the beaches, we have an immediate need for additional (part-time and full-time) independent contractor school psychologists. Positions are paid both hourly and per psycho-educational evaluation based on your schedule and availability. Complete a psycho-educational evaluation in-person at the school and have the flexibility to write reports (ESR) at home and attend IEP/eligibility meetings via video-conferencing. RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Screen and evaluate referred students including selecting appropriate assessments, administering tests, observations, and writing reports that analyze evaluation findings and provide recommendations for educational program and special education eligibility.
B. Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and the individualized education program (IEP) team contributing evaluation findings and collaborating on the student’s educational plan including social/emotional/behavioral support needs.
C. Provide collaborative consultation to teaching staff with suggestions and implementation of MTSS, pre-referral intervention strategies, and providing recommendations and modifications to assist school staff in working with special education students in the general education classroom or least restrictive setting.
D. Consult with parents, teachers, and other appropriate staff regarding student programming and any adaptations/materials needed to facilitate improved performance in the classroom.
