Boomtown Casino is Hiring a Surveillance Agent Near Verdi, NV

Description

Provides Guest Safety and loss control of assets by monitoring all gaming and non-gaming casino and adjacent property functions and by reporting all irregularities to the appropriate personnel, as established by procedures.

Maintains a video library of all property-wide activities for periods as prescribe by in-house procedures, and by State directives.

Coordinates with the Guest Safety department personnel to provide optimum video coverage of transaction, interactions that require coverage as established by procedures.

Notifies the Surveillance Manager of all information and significant observations concerning gaming and support areas of operations.

Promotes ongoing and effective communications with Surveillance Manager and team.

Ensures the confidential treatment of all relevant information.

Takes appropriate measures to promote the safety and courteous treatment of customers, guests and team members of the property.

Stay current with the Company and Departmental policies & procedures, and Nevada State Gaming regulations to maintain compliance.

Maintain camera placement, monitors camera coverage, and makes changes where appropriate to ensures optimal coverage of all activities.

Ensures accurate and though documentation and reporting of shift activities.

Works towards short and long–term departmental goals.

Maintains a positive work ethic and promotes a positive environment with team.

Answer emergency calls via telephone and communicate such calls with patrol units.

May be required to act as dispatcher for responding personnel under certain circumstances.

Other work related duties may be assigned by Security Management.

Must be 21 years or older and able to obtain a Gaming Card.

Requirements

  •  Ability to act independently while drawing conclusions from written, camera/video and computer generated materials.
  • Ability to gather and interpret quantitative or qualitative data, make decisions based on the data and find solutions to special problems.
  • Knowledge of casino gaming, i.e. all pit and slot procedures and game familiarity
  • Operate a computer to access & input information using Excel, Word, and Windows) review and download video to a thumb drive, to perform job functions.
  • Visually monitor & record day to day operations, both interior and exterior, in areas throughout the casino/hotel.
  • Research and review disputes, locate tapes requested for investigations by other departments and observe special surveillance assignments.
  • Operate with phones, computers, DVR, NVR and other surveillance equipment, input/retrieve data and take pictures.
  • Stay constantly aware in order to detect equipment malfunctions or errors such as missing info.
  • Maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality while performing all surveillance activities.
  • Assist Nevada Gaming Control Board Officers in investigation of gaming incidents.
  • Assist in law enforcement, maintaining and performing gaming audits and reports.
  • Maintain professional communication at all times for the ease of information sharing.
  • Assist all state & Local Police agencies in performing investigations that are related to our property.
