Books4Cause is a social enterprise with a mission to find new homes for books. We collect book donations across the U.S. and redistribute them through an e-commerce bookstore, African libraries, and a free bookstore in Chicago. Job Description:

We are seeking a full-time Warehouse and Data Entry Associate for our Skokie warehouse and book donation center. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, computer-literate, a team player, and a problem solver. This role involves both general warehouse labor and data entry tasks, including processing book donations and working with our warehouse management software.

Responsibilities:

Process, sort, and scan book donations using our system.

Perform data entry tasks: entering book ISBNs and conditions into our warehouse management software.

Handle books for recycling or donation.

Perform regular inventory management tasks.

Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving pallets, setting up recycling tubs, building pallets, and distribution.

Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.

Requirements:

Ability to lift and move boxes up to 50lb continuously and move 1-ton pallets with a manual pallet jack.

Strong computer literacy, especially in data entry and familiarity with warehouse management software.

Energetic, responsible, and high-energy demeanor.

Physical endurance to keep up with the fast-paced nature of the role.

Preferred:

Interest in reading and knowledge of books.

Previous experience in data entry and working with warehouse management software is a plus.

Working Hours:

First shift, 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday.
