Title: Operator Level III, CNC Machine

Department: Precision Parts

Report to: Captain, Precision Parts

Pay: Hourly Production $19-22 per hour 

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:00 pm

This position is fast paced and requires the candidate to be motivated, self-directed, and strive to learn. Applying the skills and processes of Precision Parts value stream. Proficient at running all CNC machines, or respective process in assigned work area, without supervision. Can mentor other level 1-2 operators. 

Understands and performs daily standardized work. Knowledge and Execution of the What, When, Why’s and How’s of the process with supervision. A typical operator takes 2 years to achieve level 3 or prior work experience. (Work areas may include operation of CNCs, packing, Metal saw and A-Dec Cell).

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Keep work orders stamped, dated, and organized.
• Carton packing.
• Palatize packing and material handling as needed.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Cycle counting.
• Reading and interpreting machine prints and calipers.
• Maintain Lean principles and practices.
• Maintain standard of quality.
• Complete Level 3 operator certification with its annual safety re-certification.
• Work towards continuous improvement.
• Participates in training, safety, and quality programs.

Physical Demands:

• Lifting to 35 lbs. repetitively throughout a 10 or 12-hour shift.
• 45 lbs. or greater requires a team lift.
• Ability to work a 10 or 12-hour shift.

What You’ll Need to Have:

• High school diploma/GED
• Must pass a company background check and drug screen
• Using common shop tools
• Basic computer skills.
