Job Title: Operator Level 2

Reports to: Department Captain

Shift days/hours: 1 Shift, 6am to 6 pm rotating weeks, Sunday – Tuesday (every other Wednesday)

Starting Pay: $18 per hour on up

 The general purpose of this position is processing material safely and efficiently through fabrications and packaging processes. Meeting the needs of the customer in safety, quality, and efficiency. Employees must have the ability to work well with others in the teamwork setting with leadership skills. 

What you will be responsible for:

• Evaluation of all material for quality standard compliance.
• Operate machines and improve processes.
• Reading fabrication prints/drawings for processing material through machines.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Capable of working flexible schedules as needed.
• Ability to read and do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers.
• Ability to inspire others to work efficiently, defuse conflict and make good decisions.
• Ability to efficiently use a computer, performing tasks such as entering production and miscellaneous information and retrieve many different types of information from a computer.

Work Environment/Physical demands: 

• Minimum 1 year experience in aluminum extrusion
• Standing for long periods of time
• Infrequently lifting or moving up to 50 or 65 pounds
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to others.
• Ability to work with measuring tools/devices such as micrometers, calipers, squares, protractors etc.
• Ability to do basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers).
• Maintain excellent attendance.

Required to Have:

• High School Diploma and/or GED preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively: self-motivated; self-starter.
• Must be able to pass company background check and drug screen.
