Job Title: Saw Operator

Reports To: Team Leader, following the direction of Extrusion Manager 

Shift/Hours: Rotating 12-hour Shift- 2-days on/2-days off/every other weekend.

Salary: 22.56 per hour 

The Saw Operator plays a vital role in supporting the Extrusion department. This versatile position operates a saw machine in extrusion department. This position will assist with various positions within the department.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

• Assist with the setup head using wooden blocks in the clamping mechanism. 
• Pulls and moves the end of a rail into the clamping mechanism, pushes the control that clamps and pulls the rail. 
• Unclamp the rail, reaches to the rail, pull it out to the stretcher and pushes it away to the far side of the stretcher. 
• Assist/operate machines in the department. 
• Know how to determine appropriate lengths for orders, set-up, and verify work. 
• Follow all safety procedures during all operations performed. 
• Keep work areas clean and presentable. 
• Attending staff and department meetings. 
• May be required to work overtime if deemed necessary. 
• Maintain, organize, and clean equipment.
• Performs all other duties as assigned. 
• Report all injuries to your supervisor or manager at the time of injury. 
• Complete all required training in a timely manner.

What You Will Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Physical ability to lift and move materials. 
• Must pass company background check and drug screen.
