The Construction Manager focuses on the on-site management and supervision of multi-family construction projects. The duties of the Construction Manager include but are not limited to managing the costs, the schedule, and quality control. The Construction Manager ensures that the projects are built according to the plans and specifications and that general quality construction practices are observed to keep the project on track, on time, and on budget for completion.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record with management and supervision of multi-family construction projects.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety practices.
  • Ability to interpret plans and specifications for contractors to ensure compliance and obtain additional information from the project architect when necessary; recommend changes to documents for ease of construction.
  • Knowledge of building codes and applications and understanding of all building trades.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project literate.
  • Able to prepare and manage a construction schedule.
  • Develop bid packages and identify & pre-qualify bidders.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Contract negotiations and documentation.
  • Manage all facets of the construction from beginning to end.
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug test.
