Bollinger Shipyards is Hiring a Remote Electrical Designer (Remote Hybrid Opportunities Available)
Responsibilities include developing detailed drawings based on applicable specifications and work order instructions, ensuring that the design product and engineering deliverables conform to engineering design and customer specifications, preparing BOM (Bills of Material), and consulting with vendors on project related activities. Also coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications. A minimum of 5 years of electrical design experience is required within the electrical/electronic marine design field utilizing AutoCAD. Ideal candidate would have experience with electrical automation, power, lighting, control, communications, and navigation systems in addition to ship checking experience. Must be familiar with IEEE and standard Maritime requirements including ABS, CFR, and SOLAS.
