Bollinger Motors is seeking a Body Systems Engineer. This position reports to the Mechanical Director and is an in-person role at the company’s Oak Park, MI headquarters. Bollinger Motors is building a Class 4 electric delivery vehicle with a purchased Cab to be integrated into our system.

Areas of release responsibility:

• Cab 
• Seats and belts
• Airbag
• Steering wheel
• Glass
• Ornamentation
• Closures
• Facias
• Mirrors
• Side steps
• Mounting to Chassis
• DFEMA 
• DVPR 
• Drawing package including GD&T 
• Ability to track and resolve performance issues. 

Requirements

We are focused on building a great team and beyond the technical skills, we require humility and teamwork. We expect to work in the office full time, and we are a dog friendly company. 

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field with 5 years applicable experience
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices to assigned tasks in the design, development, analysis and release of products and subsystems
• Verify design using analysis and or functional testing, interpret results, drive decisions, and assess risk
• Root cause analysis (ex: 8D)
• Take responsible for accuracy of detail drawings directly or as collaboration with designers.
• identify and assess possible suppliers for production of products.
• Collaboration with manufacturing
• Vehicle launch experience preferred.
