The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marine electrical design. Overall, individual must be able to perform engineering design and oversee the manufacture, construction and installation of shipboard electrical systems specifically in the areas of power distribution, automation, control systems and electronics. Responsibilities will include the integration and development of calculations, system level diagrams, I/O schedules, functional design diagrams, and termination drawings in addition to supporting all production and testing activities. Must also be able to coordinate and integrate with primary system and multiple subsystem manufactures to ensure proper and complete interface among all systems. Candidate must be self-motivated and exhibit excellent communication and leadership skills. Familiarity with CFR, ABS, NVIC, USCG, MIL-STD, IEEE rules, and other applicable regulations are required.
