We are seeking an energetic, motivated, efficient veterinary receptionist/assistant. Responsibilities will include assisting clients on the phone and in person, performing shared office duties and cleaning duties, and some interaction with patients through assisting with treatments and transferring patients throughout the clinic when needed.

Communication with clients will include answering/making calls to schedule and confirm appointments, collecting pertinent medical history/communicating it to doctors and other staff, admitting patients for appointments, dispensing refills of medications, taking messages for the doctors and promptly relaying their responses, providing guidance on scheduling services and purchasing food and preventive care products, collecting payment after services are completed.

Shared responsibilities with the rest of the team include maintaining organization of medical records, entering medical information and services into computers, and cleaning duties of the clinic.

Organization and good interpersonal communication skills are required. Experience in a small animal care environment is preferred, as is experience with Avimark. However, training the right candidate for this position will be possible.

This is a full time position, Monday-Friday. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
