Position Overview
Assemble cabinet boxes, drawer boxes and other cabinet production requirements in accordance with Boise River Cabinets (BRC) specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible for assembling drawer and cabinet boxes, reading and understanding shop plans and applying filler backer and crown shim backers where needed.
· Operate drill and dowel machine and edge bander, as needed.
· Ensure banding is adhered properly and consistently to all parts.
· Ensure cabinet boxes are assembled correctly and within quality control specifications along with all door, drawer or roll out hardware.
· Refer to shop drawings in order to ensure compliance with special instructions for cabinet assembly
· Load cabinet boxes in delivery trailer after the Cabinet Production Lead has completed QA check.
· Proactively report material needs to the Cabinet Production Lead. Items include hardware such as:
o Hinge plates and drawer glides
o Standard Pullouts
o Fasteners, such as staples and screws
o Adhesives
· Proactively report production issues with detailed documentation to Cabinet Production Lead in order to immediately correct deficiency before further assembly or product delivery.
· Proactively communicate to Cabinet Production Lead on production throughput in order to maintain efficient project scheduling.
· Properly fill out re-work tracker each workday and submit to Cabinet Production Lead at completion of work week.
Qualifications
· Completion of a training program or apprenticeship is desired
· Able to read a tape measure to 1/16”
· Must be personally driven and team oriented
· Must be able to operate a table saw safely
· Must be able to operate a chop saw safely
· Able to remain calm and clear-headed
· Able to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met
· Must be able to manage time effectively
· Must be attention to detail oriented
· Able to pass a background check
· Promote teamwork, collaboration, and cooperation
· Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plusPosition Overview

· Must be able to operate assigned equipment (beam saw, CNC router, drill and dowel, and edge bander) safely and efficiently
· Proactively report production issues with detailed documentation to Cabinet Production Lead in order to immediately correct deficiency before further assembly or product delivery.
· Proactively communicate to Cabinet Production Lead on production throughput in order to maintain efficient project scheduling.
· Actively learn about all aspects of the production process and fill in where assigned by Cabinet Production Lead
· Properly label all parts for follow-on assembly
· Identify, understand and be able to properly replace tooling on cabinet production machinery:
· Proactively report material needs to the cabinet production lead, to include:
· Maintain clean and organized workspace with minimum distraction in order to focus on assigned duties and ensure production machinery is operating at optimal output.
· Log progress on materials being cut on what job at what station
· Properly fill out re-work tracker each workday and submit to Cabinet Production Lead at completion of work week.
Qualifications
· Completion of a training program or apprenticeship is desired
· Able to read a tape measure to 1/16”
· Must be personally driven and team oriented
· Must be able to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently

· Must be able to safely use a material lift

Physical Demands
· Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs., unassisted (from 35-65% of the time)
· Occasional lifting from 41 lbs. , assisted (up to 50% of the time)
· Access and mobility in tight spaces
· Working at Heights - over 5 feet, periodically
· Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending and kneeling
Reviews/probationary period
· Upon signature of this document, a 30-day probationary period will be initiated to ensure all job duties and responsibilities are understood and met. The purpose of this review is to address items that need further attention so corrections can be made.
· Upon completion of 60 days of employment we will conduct a second review by the Shop Foreman and General Manager to determine the suitability of continued employment based on our core values and correction of any items from the 30-day review.
· Personnel reviews will be conducted, at a minimum, one every 12 months to provide employee feedback regarding performance and promotion potential.
Schedule
· The Box Builder is a full-time, hourly position. Standard 40-hour work week, plus overtime, as required.
· Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Friday 7:00a.m. – 11:00a.m.
· Some extra hours on Fridays, as required
· Some Saturdays, as required
