Summary of Job Description:

Bogin Munns, and Munns is a full-service law firm with over 40 attorneys practicing in 11 offices throughout
Central Florida. We are looking for an experienced Paralegal II to join our talented team and build our increasingly busy practice located in Orlando, Florida. The schedule is Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

We are seeking a full-time Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal for our Melbourne office with 2 years’ experience in managing a Plaintiff’s personal injury litigation caseload. Our ideal candidate will also possess superb interpersonal skills, unquestionable integrity, self-discipline, the ability to adapt to changes in processes and procedures, be detail-oriented, self-motivated, a team-player, the ability to multi-task, be an excellent communicator (written and verbal).

Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to manage all aspects of personal injury cases from initial filing through trial and post-trial.
  • Gather, analyze, and research information and documents.
  • Educate the client on case progression and set appropriate client expectations.
  • Escalate issues to the attorney as necessary.
  • Monitor negotiations and offers.
  • Communicating and corresponding with clients, opposing parties, adjusters, and experts.
  • Maintaining client files and demonstrating a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Calculate and manage deadlines.
  • Review, analyze and summarize case files and medical records.
  • Review, draft, and file legal documents such as discovery responses, motions, complaints, and other pleadings for attorney.
  • Assisting attorney with preparation of cases for trial.
  • Preparing various legal documents.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must have strong organizational skills; be able to follow instructions, switch tasks quickly and meet deadlines.
  • Must exercise sound judgment, work independently, and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.

  • Excellent planning and reporting skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Possesses familiarity with legal terminology and business practices.
  • Paralegal Certification; preferred.

EDUCATION

  • A minimum of 5 years of Personal Injury (Plaintiff) experience, required.
  • Litigation experience required.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
